Job summary

The Waters Senior Living Management LLC seeks an Executive Director to lead daily community operations, budgeting, and hospitality services, ensuring holistic care and resident wellbeing. You will guide customer relations, dining, active living, and environmental services to deliver exceptional experiences.

You will manage budgets, drive revenue, hire and mentor teams, and collaborate with home office leadership to maintain standards across communities while ensuring compliance and quality care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Assisted Living Director in MN or ability to obtain
• Bachelor’s degree in health care, hospitality services, finance, or related field
• Minimum of three years in customer-oriented leadership
• Prev. experience in senior services preferred

Position Summary & Primary Responsibilities:

The Executive Director plans, organizes, and directs the day to day business operations of the community. This position has accountability for budgeting and financial management, as well as all community business and hospitality services, including customer relations, concierge, food and beverage, active life, health and wellbeing, and environmental services. Together they ensure seamless integration of gracious living, hospitality and a commitment to unsurpassed holistic care and wellbeing.

The Executive Director is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, utilizing courtesy, dignity, and respect in all of the following responsibilities:

• Leads, implements, sustains and rewards a culture of wellbeing, teamwork, and respect for residents
  and team members
• Along with the home office and community leadership teams, hires, retains, and leads a team of health
  care, hospitality and business team members
• Along with leaders from other Waters' communities, works closely with corporate operations to develop
  and implement streamlined and consistent processes across the enterprise
• Manages community budget, including labor standards and community level expenses, understands and
  manages profit-loss statements, maximizes revenues and manages expenses
• Along with the Senior Living Consultant, ensures revenue and occupancy goals are achieved
• Supports the Director of Health and Wellbeing in financial, human resources, and customer service areas
• Works closely with food and beverage leadership to ensure high quality and exceptional customer
  service and ambience in our restaurant and café
• Addresses escalated resident or guest complaints to ensure the highest level of customer service
• Works with other community leaders to coordinate and manage special events
• Along with other leaders, manages and carries out inspections of community/services, ensures
  compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
• Ensures effective security systems and regular testing of emergency procedures for the community in
  partnership with the Environmental Services Manager
• Assists in creating an environment that fosters professional growth and achievement, and participates in
  ongoing training and development necessary for successful performance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• Currently licensed as an Licensed Assisted Living Director in the state of Minnesota, or ability to obtain required
• Bachelor's degree in health care, hospitality services, finance, or related field preferred
• Minimum of three years' of relevant experience in customer-oriented leadership
• Previous experience in senior services preferred

• Possess compassion for and commitment to hospitality and service in elderly care
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, profit and loss statements, maximize revenue and manage
  expenses
• Commitment to customer service and team member/ resident wellbeing
• Strong leadership and management skills, including effective relationship building, business acumen and
  communication
• Must exhibit a high degree of initiative and creativity, strong judgment, and professional ethics
• Strong organizational skills, with experience in negotiating and working toward mutually beneficial
  solutions
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and
  bring a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and energy to the role
• Ability to remain calm and direct in stressful situations
• Ability to adapt resources and meet the needs of the situation
• Highly proficient using Microsoft Office
• Ability to analyze and communicate financial information in a concise, professional manner
