Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking an Executive Director for Ivy Park at San Tomas in San Jose, California. The ED will oversee daily operations, policy compliance, budgeting, and staff supervision to ensure exceptional resident experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a track record in elder care management. Candidates must meet RCFE/licensing requirements and possess excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of college with at least three years of elder care experience or equivalent.
• Certification or licensure as RCFE or Nursing Home Executive Director.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the community in accordance with policies and standards.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate staff; ensure occupancy and budget compliance.
• Represent the property to residents, families, and regulators with a professional demeanor.

The Executive Director is responsible fmeor the efficient operations and overall management and direction of the day-to-day functions of their Community in accordance with property policies and procedures, current standards, guidelines, and regulations. They will hire, evaluate, coordinate, monitor performance, schedule, and supervise staff in accordance with company policy. The Executive Director is also responsible for achieving and maintaining budgeted occupancy; achieving and maintaining budgetary compliance; professionally representing the property to the community and the Corporation, and creating a supportive and enjoyable lifestyle for the residents.

Qualifications:

• Completion of two (2) years of college and at least three (3) years of experience providing residential care to the elderly, or equivalent education and experience as approved by the Department of Social Services.


• A valid California Residential Care Facility for the Elderly Certification or Licensed Nursing Home Executive Director


• Prefer five (5) years of experience supervising and managing employees


• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)


• Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the theory and practice of assisted living and dementia care


• Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals


• Able to be flexible, adapt and respond to change, make decisions in stressful situations, and prioritize tasks and projects.


• Able to process information and apply common sense understanding to follow and carry out written or oral instructions.


• Able to analyze, solve and respond to problems or concerns.


• Able to count and perform moderately complex math problems, read and understand budgets and other financial reports/statements


• Able to explain ideas and communicate complex ideas to a wide audience (employees, residents, family members, governmental agencies, public, etc) both in writing and verbally


• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests


• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
