Job summary

SageGrove is hiring an Executive Director in Raymore, MO. You will lead daily operations, drive occupancy, manage budgets, and oversee resident-centered care with a focus on quality and compliance.

You’ll mentor a multi-department team, build external partnerships, and uphold the company’s core values across a 24-location network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive team leadership experience in assisted living or healthcare.
• Active Assisted Living Administrator license/certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Hospitality, or related field.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and read financial statements.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; proficient with standard software.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Passion for serving seniors and alignment with core values.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily community operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage annual budget and P&L, ensuring financial health.
• Drive census and occupancy through outreach, marketing, and partnerships.
• Lead and develop a multi-department team and nurture a positive culture.
• Ensure resident- and family-centered care and proactive issue resolution.

What You’ll Do:

As our Executive Director, you will be the operational leader of the community, directly impacting the lives of our residents and the success of our team by:

• Driving Operational Excellence & Strategic Growth:
  • Overseeing daily community operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and all state/federal regulations.
  • Managing the community's annual budget and P&L, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial health.
  • Driving census and occupancy goals via community outreach, marketing, and referral partner development.
  • Implementing and refining operational policies to enhance efficiency, care quality, and resident satisfaction.
  • Overseeing facility management to ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a multi-departmental team, fostering a positive, high-performing work culture.
• Overseeing staff recruitment, development, performance management, and engagement.
• Ensuring Resident & Family Centered Care:
  • Championing a resident-first philosophy, ensuring high-quality, individualized resident services and compassionate care.
  • Acting as primary contact for residents and families, ensuring proactive communication and resolution of concerns.
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of innovative resident activity and wellness programs.
• Fostering Community Engagement & Representation:
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local healthcare providers, community organizations, and key stakeholders.
  • Representing SageGrove positively and professionally at community events and in all external interactions.
  • Communicating community vision, updates, and successes to all stakeholders (staff, residents, families, corporate).

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of progressive team leadership experience, preferably in assisted living, senior living, or a related healthcare setting.
• Active Assisted Living Administrator license/certification (or the ability to obtain one promptly).
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven ability to manage budgets and understand financial statements.
• Strong skills in communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.Proficiency with common office and industry-specific software (e.g., EHR/EMR, CRM, Microsoft Office Suite).
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• A genuine passion for serving seniors and a commitment to our core values.
