Executive Director
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Executive Director to lead the day-to-day operations of a senior living community. This role is responsible for supporting a positive resident experience, developing and leading a strong team, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring the community operates effectively.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who is comfortable balancing resident care, team development, regulatory expectations, and overall community operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a welcoming, respectful, and supportive environment for residents, families, team members, and visitors.
- Oversee the daily operations and overall administration of the community.
- Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and professional standards that support quality care and effective operations.
- Ensure team members follow established operational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Support and participate in state and federal surveys, including coordinating appropriate team members throughout the survey process.
- Review survey results and work with leadership to develop and implement corrective action plans when needed.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents and their family members.
- Monitor community quality measures and operational data to identify and address areas needing improvement.
- Provide leadership, direction, and accountability for community programs, operations, and team performance.
- Promote a culture focused on quality care, communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the needs of residents within a senior living environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, employees, visitors, regulatory representatives, and the public.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions.
- Knowledge of state regulations, survey processes, and quality measures applicable to assisted living communities.
- Understanding of senior care practices, reimbursement requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and evaluate programs, policies, procedures, goals, and operational priorities.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Working knowledge of employment practices and regulations related to personnel administration.
- Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand English effectively.
