The Wheat Ridge Chamber of Commerce is seeking a relationship-driven, self-motivated Executive Director to help lead the Chamber's next chapter of growth.

This is a part-time, responsibility-based position with no defined weekly hours. The Executive Director works in partnership with the Board of Directors to advance the Chamber's mission and strategic priorities while serving as a key connection between the Chamber, its members, and the broader Wheat Ridge business community.

Membership growth and sales are a primary responsibility of this role. The Executive Director also provides organizational leadership, oversees day-to-day operations, strengthens community relationships, and helps ensure Chamber priorities move forward.

This is not a role where one person is expected to do everything. Administrative support, committees, Board members, contractors, and volunteers all play important roles in carrying out the work of the Chamber.

What You'll Do

• Actively recruit and sell Chamber memberships while developing a consistent pipeline of prospective members.
• Build strong relationships with current and prospective members and support member onboarding, engagement, renewals, and retention.
• Serve as the Chamber's primary organizational point of contact and provide leadership and oversight of day-to-day operations.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with the City of Wheat Ridge, Localworks, and other community organizations and partners.
• Listen to the needs and concerns of local businesses and help connect them with relevant resources, information, and opportunities.
• Work with the Board to identify opportunities to strengthen the Chamber's financial sustainability, including sponsorships, investor-level memberships, grants, advertising, and other revenue opportunities.
• Help translate Board decisions and strategic priorities into action and ensure responsibilities have clear ownership and follow-through.
• Provide strategic input into Chamber events and programming to ensure they provide meaningful value to members and the local business community.
• Represent the Chamber professionally at meetings, events, and community activities as appropriate.

The Executive Director is not responsible for personally planning and executing all Chamber events. Event execution is primarily supported by committees, volunteers, administrative support, and other assigned individuals.

Position Structure & Compensation

This is a part-time, contract, responsibility-based position with no defined weekly hours and reports to the Wheat Ridge Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Compensation includes a $500 monthly base plus performance-based commissions, with an opportunity to earn $24,000+ annually based on performance.

Commission opportunities are tied primarily to membership growth and retention. Detailed commission structure and payment terms will be provided during the hiring process.
