Job summary

Unidine in Davenport, IA is seeking a Director of Dining Services to lead the resident dining and client-facing foodservice operation, delivering high-quality meals and best-in-class hospitality. You will drive strategic initiatives, ensure compliance with health regulations, manage budgets, and guide a diverse team to exceed resident and client expectations.

This role requires strong P&L knowledge, leadership, and a commitment to scratch cooking and innovative dining programs.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control.
• Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
• Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience desirable.
• Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, client, customer, and associate levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operating strategy aligned with the Compass Community Living and client business strategy.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and cost controls.
• Lead food and beverage operations to deliver best-in-class hospitality.
• Engage residents and clients to ensure satisfaction and high service standards.
• Coach and mentor team members; recruit and retain talent.
