Job summary

City of Cincinnati seeks a Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation and Engineering (DOTE) to lead the City’s multi-modal transportation system, including highway, aviation, transit, bicycle and pedestrian networks. This executive position works with the Director to oversee Traffic Services, Development/Permits/Urban Design, Aviation, and administrative support services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business, Marketing, or related area.
• Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in the public or private sector related to assigned department activities.
• Master's degree strongly preferred.
• A substitution may be permitted to replace educational requirements.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and coordination for DOTE functions.
• Develop and monitor annual operating and capital budgets.
• Oversee capital improvement programs and major projects.
• Coordinate with City departments, agencies, and external partners.
