Job summary

Kings County Human Services Agency seeks a Deputy Director of Human Services to provide executive leadership and oversight for the Fiscal Division and related operations. This at-will, executive-level role directs staff, manages programs, and ensures high-quality service delivery across five core areas including Administration, Benefits, Fiscal, Child Welfare, and Adult Supportive Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree highly desirable.
• Three years of management-level experience in a social services or related public agency.

Responsibilities

• Plans, manages, and oversees daily functions and operations of the division.
• Develops goals, objectives, policies, and priorities; monitors efficiency and service delivery.
• Participates in budget development, staffing, and contracts; ensures compliance with funding.
• Leads staff development, recruitment, evaluation, and discipline as needed.
• Directs program planning, evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Reports to County management; presents findings and metrics to commissions/boards.
