Job summary

The City and County of San Francisco is seeking a Deputy Director of Finance and Administrative Services to provide executive leadership for financial, budgeting, procurement, and administrative operations within the Adult Probation Department. The role reports to the Chief Adult Probation Officer and oversees major program areas through division managers.

Responsibilities include directing internal controls, budget narratives, and fiscal policy; coordinating audits; and guiding human resources

Qualifications

• Possession of a baccalaureate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a closely related field.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible managerial experience directing a complex financial and administrative operation, including supervisory experience.
• Education Substitution: Additional years of experience may substitute up to two years of the required degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, budgeting structures, and internal controls for fiduciary integrity.
• Lead budget development processes and oversee master budget production and reporting.
• Manage procurement policies, contracts, and compliance with city procurement regulations.
• Supervise human resources, labor relations, and disciplinary processes within CSC rules and policies.
• Coordinate with executives and managers to plan and implement administrative policies and strategic plans.
