Qualifications

  • Admitted to the Connecticut bar.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with statutes, regulations, manuals, policies and procedures.
  • Experience advising executive leadership.
  • Experience with CHRO, FOI, and litigation.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders statewide.
  • Ability to articulate goals and engage with diverse constituents.
  • Ability to draft legal documents, investigations, policies and procedures.
  • Experience conducting administrative hearings.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting risk assessments.
  • Providing recommendations on risk management.
  • Representing the agency at administrative hearings, including CHRO and FOIC.
  • Conducting administrative hearings in accordance with the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act (UAPA).
  • Negotiating and drafting legal documents, such as investigatory reports, contracts, MOUs, MOAs, and policies and procedures.
  • Supervising assigned staff.
  • Performing other related duties as required.
