Job summary

The Crane Center for Transgender Surgery seeks an experienced Chief Operating Officer to drive growth and operational excellence across three locations. The COO will oversee business development, administrative services and procedures, reporting to the CEO, and will be based in Austin, Texas with responsibilities at all sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive executive leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Other Clinical Sub Speciality or Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or MHA preferred.
• Core Competencies: Strategic planning, financial and operational reporting process optimization, and high-stakes problem-solving capabilities.
• Leadership Traits: Outstanding communication, emotional intelligence, resilience, and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Metrics and Target Setting: Develop and communicate long-term metrics related to growth, productivity, quality, patient satisfaction and financial performance.
• Alignment: Support attending physicians in achieving their metrics related to growth, productivity, quality and patient satisfaction.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Manage department heads and staff across HR, IT and Marketing to ensure alignment with targets.
• Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, optimize workflows, and establish policies for performance and culture.
• Performance & Metrics: Monitor KPIs and deliver growth and quality reports to the CEO.
• Talent & Scaling: Manage recruiting, development and retention strategies to build a strong workforce.
