Unity Technologies is seeking a Director of Executive Compensation reporting to the VP of Total Rewards to design, govern, and deliver compensation for Unity’s top leadership.

This role will handle equity design, proxy disclosures, and Compensation Committee governance, partnering with the C‑Suite, Finance, and Legal to ensure competitive, defensible programs. You will translate technical compensation concepts into plain English for the Board and business leaders while leading a small team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in compensation management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of compensation principles, market analysis, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions based on findings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsabilités

• Lead governance for Board & Committee materials and executive pay strategy.
• Own the drafting of the CD&A for the annual proxy statement and Say-on-Pay readiness.
• Design and govern executive short- and long-term incentive plans, SBC expense, and burn rate.
• Manage external compensation consultant relationships and lead benchmarking and market analyses.
• Partner with Executive Recruiting on offers for VP+ hires and manage promotions and transitions.
• Mentor and develop team members to elevate technical and business partnership skills.
