Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal, a global consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Associate in Compensation & Benefits to advise clients on executive compensation strategies. You will design, implement, and monitor compensation programs, working across base salary, incentives, retirement, and fringe benefits.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. A Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Juris Doctor, Master in Tax, CPA, or related credential preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in compensation & benefits consulting.
• Strong knowledge of executive compensation and statistical analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor compensation programs for executives.
• Provide market data, quantitative and qualitative analyses for decisions.
• Assist with KEIPs, KERPs, MIPs, severance programs in bankruptcy contexts.
• Lead client engagements and deliver integrated compensation services.
• Support stakeholder communications and proposal development.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team growth.
