A law firm seeks an Associate in the Tax Department specializing in Executive Compensation, Employment, and Benefits to join its Chicago, IL office. Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in benefits and compensation law.
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school and bar admission.
- Experience handling multi-jurisdictional employment and employee benefits issues.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital markets deals.
- Tailor compensation arrangements and cross-jurisdictional employment and employee benefits issues.
- Optimize plan design considering tax and securities law while ensuring commercial practicality.
- Collaborate with cross-office colleagues on tax, securities, labor and governance matters.
