Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline seeks a Director of Clinical Science - Oncology to provide scientific leadership across study design, data review, and interpretation within an asset-level programme. The role partners with the CDL and Senior Scientist to deliver high-quality clinical development outcomes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to regulatory deliverables, and ensure scientific rigor in trial design and data interpretation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field is required.
• Experience in clinical development from early stage to regulatory submission.
• Experience working within GCP, ICH, and global regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership across study-level activities, including protocol development and data interpretation.
• Serve as core member of Clinical Matrix Team (CMT) coordinating objectives, timelines and deliverables.
• Provide scientific insight to CDL and Senior Scientist to inform asset-level strategy and decisions.
• Ensure quality and consistency of clinical/regulatory documents (protocols, IBs, CSRs).
• Analyse and interpret data to inform safety, efficacy and patient populations.
• Engage with investigators and external experts to support study execution and scientific exchange.
• Contribute to a culture of scientific excellence and continuous improvement within Oncology Clinical Development.
