The AI Policy Network in Washington, DC is seeking a Chief of Staff to extend the Executive Director’s capacity across the organization. This senior role will absorb context across all functions, make ED-level decisions, and build scalable operating systems to enable the organization to grow without routing every decision through the Executive Director.

• 5+ years in decision-support or operational leadership roles such as Chief of Staff, legislative director, or management consultant.
• Strong project management across a large team.
• Exceptional written communication under time pressure.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity and making judgments with incomplete information.
• Experience handling sensitive information with discretion (board materials, personnel decisions, financial data).

Responsabilidades

• Develop fluency in AIPN priorities and reasoning to handle many ED-level decisions.
• Triage requests and route only ED-level decisions to the Executive Director.
• Drive operating cadence: weekly staff meetings, monthly reviews, quarterly planning.
• Prepare briefings and materials for board meetings, donor engagements, and external partnerships.
• Represent the Executive Director in meetings with partners, funders, and policy stakeholders.
