Job summary

Element Sedona, AZ seeks a seasoned Chief Engineer for the Element by Westin property. You will oversee the maintenance department, administer life-safety programs, and ensure the reliable operation of hotel equipment to deliver a safe, comfortable guest experience.

Responsibilities include budgeting and cost control, preventive maintenance planning, supervising engineering staff, coordinating with management, and supervising external contractors to maintain the building and systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance operations preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff activities.
• Ensure budgeting and cost control for the department.
• Maintain life safety and critical systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Schedule work to meet financial and quality goals.
• Hire, train and evaluate department personnel.
• Coordinate with management on building condition and proposals.
• Oversee external contractors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Log and follow up on maintenance requests.
