Castaway is seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to lead the culinary team and elevate our upscale dining experiences. This senior role directs kitchen operations, budget and inventory management, and staff development to ensure superior guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as Executive Chef in upscale, high-volume operations.
• 5+ years BOH leadership in a high-volume restaurant/event center.
• Strong culinary skills with innovative, flavorful dishes.
• Experience in private events, banquets, and catering operations.
• Manage food costs, inventory and kitchen budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Sous Chefs and culinary leadership, setting performance expectations.
• Exercise staffing and scheduling decisions with operational impact.
• Hire, promote, discipline, and terminate culinary personnel as needed.
• Direct purchasing, vendor coordination, and inventory management.
• Oversee labor budgets, food costs, staffing allocations, and financials.
• Lead Sous Chefs in food production, quality, sanitation, and daily ops.
• Conduct performance reviews and leadership development.
