EXECUTIVE CHEF - Lincoln Memorial University - Harrogate, TN

Join us as an Executive Chef at Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services located on the campus of Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN. We are seeking a passionate culinary professional to oversee kitchen operations, ensure food quality, and maintain a safe and sanitary environment.

About the Location

Harrogate offers a tight-knit community atmosphere with access to outdoor activities and natural beauty, including the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. The area experiences all four seasons and is close to larger cities like Knoxville, Lexington, Chattanooga, and Nashville.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and modify menus according to established guidelines
  • Follow recipes, standardize portions, and ensure presentation quality
  • Train kitchen staff in food prep, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen equipment and areas
  • Manage inventory of food and supplies within budget
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Participate in departmental meetings and staff development
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of culinary/kitchen management experience
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Hands-on chef experience required
  • Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, and cost controls
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
  • ServSafe certification preferred
