Job summary

Food Fight Restaurant Group seeks an Executive Chef in Madison to lead daily kitchen operations, prepare the prep list, and manage purchasing, while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. You will provide professional leadership and direction to kitchen staff and drive back-of-house training, interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and promotions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of executive chef experience; catering experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership skills to foster a positive culture.
• Knowledge of food preparation and health and safety standards.
• Mastery of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Experience leading teams of 15+ employees.
• ServSafe certificate and Responsible Sellers within 90 days of employment.
• Knowledge of back-of-house operating systems including time and temp logs, recipe building, cost outs, inventory, order guides, invoice entry and control of cost of goods and labor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure a safe, sanitary work environment.
• Prepare daily prep list and manage purchasing of food items, supplies, and equipment.
• Provide professional leadership and direction to kitchen staff.
• Supervise and train back-of-house personnel, including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and cost controls.
