Flik Independent School Dining in the United States is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations while ensuring safety and sanitation. You will direct meal preparation per corporate programs and guidelines, and you will lead a team of culinary professionals in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

As a hands-on chef, you will train staff, manage menus, and ensure quality, cost controls, and compliance with health standards.

Qualifikationen

• A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary/kitchen management.
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience.
• Hands-on chef experience is required.
• Knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, and cost controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Aufgaben

• Plans regular and modified menus per established guidelines.
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safety, and sanitary practices.
• Maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Maintains inventory within guidelines and ensures available stock.
• Decides on utilization of leftovers within company guidelines.
