Job summary

Sharp Spoon Network is seeking an accomplished Executive Chef for a high-volume scratch kitchen in Abilene, Texas. The role demands fine-dining quality at scale, leading a large culinary operation while hands-on in production to ensure exceptional flavor, texture, and presentation for 1,000+ meals per service.

The successful candidate will manage a sizeable team, own purchasing, inventory, scheduling, and cost controls, and maintain premium standards in a demanding, on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years in the actual Executive Chef role.
• Experience producing 1,000+ meals in a single service.
• Leadership of 30+ kitchen employees.
• Few than four employers in the last ten years.
• Hands-on cooking and culinary leadership.
• Experience delivering fine-dining or upscale quality.
• Strong scratch cooking, menu development, and presentation.
• Direct responsibility for purchasing, inventory, staffing, scheduling, food and labor costs, and kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead production of 1,000+ meals per service.
• Develop menus reflecting fine-dining standards.
• Maintain flavor, texture, temperature and presentation at scale.
• Direct scratch cooking and large-batch recipe execution.
• Train cooks to reproduce quality across many portions.
• Balance speed with quality and cost control.
• Oversee purchasing, inventory and labor planning.
• Lead on-site culinary operations in Abilene, TX.
