Job summary

Sullivan's Steakhouse is seeking an Executive Chef to lead our kitchen in Baton Rouge. You will manage the team, uphold high food quality, and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities include coordinating kitchen staff, controlling costs, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards. A culinary degree and solid leadership background are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of kitchen management experience in a fast-paced, upscale-casual/casual dining concept.
• Previous responsibility for effective recruitment, selection, orientation and training of kitchen team members.
• Culinary Degree a plus

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates the work of Sous Chefs and kitchen staff.
• Ensures food preparation is economical, technically correct, and within budgeted labor costs.

Adheres to standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation which help to assure consistently high quality and to minimize food costs; exercises portion control for all items served

Prepares necessary data for applicable parts of the budget - projects annual food, labor and other costs and monitors actual financial results; takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that financial goals are met

Schedules and coordinates the work of Sous Chefs and Kitchen Staff to assure that food preparation is economical and technically correct and within budgeted labor cost goals.

Position Requirements
