Job summary

Exton Post Acute and Healthcare Center is seeking an Executive Chef to lead all culinary operations for our resident dining program, ensuring high-quality meals, presentation, and hospitality.

The Executive Chef will supervise staff, oversee sanitation and safety, assist with menu planning and dietary accommodations, and collaborate with dining services to align kitchen production with service.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification required.
• Strong culinary and catering background.
• Minimum of five years of culinary experience in fine dining and/or healthcare dining.
• Hands-on cooking, plating, and dining service oversight.
• Kosher experience preferred but not required.
• CDM/CFM or Hospitality degree preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain high quality, safety, and service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all culinary operations, including meal preparation, food presentation, menu execution, and dining service standards.
• Provide hands-on daily cooking and ensure consistent quality, creativity, and presentation of all meals.
• Supervise and support kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and adherence to culinary standards.
• Oversee sanitation practices, food safety compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the dining services team to enhance resident satisfaction and dining experience.
• Support menu planning, recipe development, and dietary accommodations for resident needs.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and inventory usage to minimize waste.
• Foster a culture of hospitality, respect, and service excellence within the team.
• Coordinate with dining room for alignment of kitchen production and service.
