Merrill Gardens is seeking an experienced Executive Chef for a senior living community in Santa Clara County. You will lead all dining operations, ensuring exceptional resident dining experiences, quality, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
• 7+ years food service experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and ServSafe standards; current food safety certification or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the community's dining program, delivering an exceptional dining experience for residents.
• Manage kitchen staffing, scheduling, inventory, and department budget.
• Maintain a visible presence in the dining room to ensure food quality and resident satisfaction.
• Oversee daily food preparation and ensure consistent quality and presentation.
• Develop menus using approved recipes while incorporating seasonal, regional, and resident preferences.
• Train, coach, and develop dining services team members.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
