Job summary

The Chef de Cuisine at Downtown Seattle Landmark in Belltown - Kimpton Palladian Hotel is responsible for ensuring all meals are prepared to quality standards, with training for staff and adherence to corporate specifications, portion control, and sanitation. You will help control food and labor costs while maximizing guest satisfaction.

You will work with the Executive Chef and F&B leadership to create menus, monitor quality, and ensure timely service in a vibrant downtown setting.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of related progressive experience; or a culinary graduate with at least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Work with other F&B managers and keep them informed of F&B issues as they arise.
• Coordinate and monitor all phases of loss prevention in kitchen areas.
• Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
• Monitor quality of all food product and presentation.
• Oversee daily operations of the kitchen and food production areas; hot food from main kitchen and bakery, and cold food from pantry.
• Assist in staffing, training, and performance reviews per Highgate Hotel standards.
