Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary and dining department across our senior living communities. You will manage retail sales, events planning, food costs and inventory, safety and sanitation, and ensure resident, customer, and employee satisfaction.

The role requires proven leadership, menu development and pricing expertise, strong organization, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Travel between sites may be required while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• Certified Executive Chef is preferred.
• Minimum four years of industry and culinary management experience.
• Proven leadership, customer service, and strong organization and time management skills.
• Experience with menu development and pricing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Culinary labor, food and small ware financial management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve 100% resident satisfaction through plate presentation and taste; circulate dining rooms for feedback.
• Establish presentation techniques and ensure quality standards.
• Hire, coach, train, and direct culinary staff; manage scheduling and reviews.
• Develop Sous Chef and Lead Cook for increased leadership duties.
• Direct food cost control, labor costs, menu engineering, recipe creation, and standardization.
• Ensure proper equipment operation and safety and sanitation policies.
• Oversee catering events and demonstrate culinary techniques.
• Maintain a positive attitude and promote relations with residents, families, and guests.
• Function as Manager on Duty as scheduled with site leadership team.
