Job summary

The Barn Resort is seeking an Executive/Head Chef to lead our culinary team and craft high-quality dishes for both buffet and bar service in a historic resort setting.

Ideal candidate will have proven Head Chef experience, strong leadership, and a passion for buffet-style dining, with a focus on quality, cost control, and guest satisfaction. English and Spanish skills are a plus in our diverse guest environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Head Chef or in a senior culinary role, especially in buffet/high-volume settings.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Budgeting, cost control, and inventory management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; schedule labor; ensure food safety and hygiene compliance.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations for buffet setup and service; maintain quality and presentation.
• Collaborate with front-of-house to enhance guest dining experience.
• Source ingredients locally and promote sustainability in the kitchen.
• Innovate menus and presentation; coordinate catering for events.
• Drive continuous improvement in food quality and cost efficiency.
