The Good Eating Company was cooked up in London in 1999 around the kitchen table, over several bottles of Ribera del Duero. We had the dream of bringing restaurant-quality food to onsite dining – at a time when uninspiring sandwiches and soggy salads were typically on offer. We're passionate about delectable, fresh food. The Good Eating Company is seeking a creative, open-minded Executive Chef for our business dining client in Mountain View, California. We are hiring for a Chef who can provide an exceptional experience and lead our team with kindness and culinary drive.

Incentives

Predominantly a M-F schedule 6:30am to 2pm with very rare evenings or weekends.

What You'll Do
  1. Ensure all food always looks and tastes great and is visually appetizing when served.
  2. Be hands-on with all-round culinary ability and strong craft skills in all areas of professional cookery, including main courses, salads, and sauce work.
  3. Have a strong knowledge of food and be able to cook using multiple styles of cuisine.
  4. Recognize and react to contemporary trends.
  5. Use correct food terminology and cooking methods.
  6. Constantly seek new recipes, ideas, and initiatives to improve food quality and service.
  7. Mentor culinary personnel enthusiastically and play a key role in their development.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement — Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Management Experience — 2 years.
Minimum Functional Experience — 2 years of work in food or culinary services, including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
