Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for McLean Hospital, in Belmont, MA. The Executive Chef leads a team of cooks and production workers (approximately 10+) and reports to the Food GM. In this role you will work mostly early morning and day time hours Monday-Friday, but will need the flexibility to work every other weekend, as well as other schedule fluctuations that may arise due to catering and the overall needs of the business.

McLean Hospital is a part of the Mass General Brigham System. It is a 200 bed hospital behavioral health hospital including residential programs, our Pavilion, & Cafeteria. McLean Hospital is consistently named the top freestanding psychiatric hospital and is known for its high level of care and service provided to the patients there.


What You'll Do

  • oversee food production for two locations, paying particular attention to any dietary restrictions as well as following all of the healthcare facility’s dietary requirements
  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
  • ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standard compliance
  • foster and environment that encourages team development and motivationensure Sodexo culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented

What You Bring

  • working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems
  • experience in a busy food production environment; healthcare experience preferred, but not required
  • prior supervisory experience and demonstrated success motivating and coaching teams

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
