Job summary

Elior Collegiate Dining is seeking an experienced executive chef for our dining program at Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. The role focuses on delivering delicious, healthy meals while maintaining quality standards.

Relocation may be provided per policy. Compensation is up to $75,000 per year, with benefits for full-time employees. You will lead culinary operations and partner with campus dining teams to create memorable experiences.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of progressive culinary experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software programs.
  • Experience with budget statements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee food production quality, purchasing, specs, meal prep, service, and sanitation.
  • Develop standardized recipes and tools to meet quality and cost goals.
  • Assist in planning and executing special events.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced, motivated executive chef for our Elior Collegiate Dining team in Sault Ste Marie, MI. As an executive chef, you will have the opportunity to prepare delicious, healthy food for guests.

Relocation assistance may be provided to eligible candidates, subject to company policy and business requirements.

What you\'re doing:
  • Supervising the quality standards and practices of the food production process, including purchasing, food specifications, meal preparation, service, and sanitation.
  • Developing standardized recipes and utilizing other production tools to ensure food quality and cost objectives are met.
  • Participating in the planning and execution of special events.
What we\'re looking for:

Must-haves:

  • At least three years of progressive culinary experience.
