Job summary

Brenner's Steakhouse on the River Walk is seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and drive an exceptional dining experience in San Antonio. As Executive Chef, you will oversee all culinary operations, mentor the kitchen staff, uphold the highest standards of quality and consistency, and manage cost and operational excellence in a high-energy, upscale environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of Culinary Management experience, with 2+ years as Executive Chef in upscale/fine dining.
• Strong knowledge of back-of-house operations, including staff supervision, inventory controls, and food/labor cost.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Stable and progressive work history; strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest satisfaction through a hands-on leadership style and a Do Whatever It Takes attitude.
• Manage all back-of-house staff in an upscale/fine dining kitchen, including training, development, and follow-up.
• Achieve or exceed budgeted labor and other cost centers through planning and execution.
• Oversee weekly and monthly inventories, and ordering of food and supplies.
• Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of the work area per OSHA regulations.
