Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at our Huntington nursing center.

You will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals and supervise staff to meet safety and presentation standards for residents. You will oversee meal service across dining locations, assist the Food Service Director with events and menus, and ensure patient and family satisfaction while upholding regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients and visitors.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated experience as a chef with supervisory/management experience required.
• Serve Safe and other certifications per regulatory standards are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage timely and accurate preparation of meals, snacks, and nourishment.
• Ensure patient and family satisfaction with meals served.
• Oversee presentation and service of meals across dining locations and mealtimes.
• Assist the Food Service Director in planning events and coordinating related catering.

Responsibilities

Join our team as an Executive Chef where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the culinary department within the nursing center. You will create nutritious and delicious meals that cater to the unique dietary needs of our patients/residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

• Manage the timely and accurate preparation of meals, snacks, and nourishment.
• Ensure patient and family satisfaction with meals/foods served
• Oversee the presentation and service of meals in various dining locations and mealtimes.
• Assists the Food Service Director in planning special events, celebrations, marketing events and other food related Center functions. Coordinates all aspects of the preparation and service of events and functions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated experience as a chef with supervisory/management experience required.
• Serve Safe and other certifications in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the nursing center are required.
