Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in Huntington, WV is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at our nursing center. This role focuses on creating nutritious, appealing meals tailored to residents' dietary needs while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

You will manage meal preparation across dining locations, supervise staff, ensure patient and family satisfaction, and assist the Food Service Director with planning events and center functions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated experience as a chef with supervisory/management experience required.
• Serve Safe and other certifications in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the nursing center are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee culinary operations in the nursing center and ensure high-quality meals.
• Manage the timely and accurate preparation of meals, snacks, and nourishment.
• Ensure patient and family satisfaction with meals/foods served.
• Oversee the presentation and service of meals in various dining locations and mealtimes.
• Assist the Food Service Director in planning special events, celebrations, marketing events and other center functions.

You will create nutritious and delicious meals that cater to the unique dietary needs of our patients/residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.
