An Executive Chef will build the reputation of the hotel by maintaining a talented and creative kitchen brigade, offering innovative menus, and providing an exceptional culinary experience.

What will I be doing?

As Executive Chef, you are responsible for developing the hotel's reputation through high-quality food production and leading a high-caliber kitchen team. Your tasks include:

  • Leading and developing the kitchen brigade
  • Implementing effective succession planning
  • Creating menus that meet customer needs and brand standards
  • Ensuring consistent high-quality food across all outlets
  • Building positive relationships with guests, staff, contractors, and suppliers
  • Resolving kitchen and guest issues promptly
  • Managing department operations, including budgeting and resource planning
  • Overseeing all kitchen functions: operational, quality, and administrative
  • Gathering customer feedback and responding to queries
  • Managing food provision and compliance with legislation
  • Controlling costs to improve profitability
  • Maintaining staff knowledge of menus and promotions
  • Fostering communication within the hotel
  • Managing staffing levels and conducting meetings
  • Handling staff performance issues and recruitment
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
  • Maintaining timely maintenance and hygiene standards
  • Managing financial performance aligned with hotel objectives
  • Reviewing menus regularly with the Food and Beverage manager
  • Being environmentally conscious and managing wastage
  • Preparing and maintaining staff schedules according to legislation

  • Valid trade qualification (proof may be required)

Preferred additional qualifications include:
