We are seeking an experienced and creative Executive Chef to lead culinary team for one of our clients at a boutique hotel in Peekskill, NY. This role oversees all kitchen operations, including the restaurant, in-room dining, and banquets. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for seasonal, locally sourced cuisine, and exceptional food quality.

Location: Peekskill, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: General Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage kitchen staff: hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Design and execute seasonal menus, event packages, and tastings
  • Monitor inventory, food cost, and labor to stay within budget
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards
  • Maintain safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Collaborate with front-of-house and events teams for smooth operations

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a senior culinary leadership role
  • Experience with upscale dining, banquets, and high-volume kitchens
  • Strong leadership, budgeting, and organizational skills
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Technology and Equipment knowledge is a plus.
