Job summary

FTI Strategic Communications is seeking a Managing Director to lead change management, leader enablement and employee engagement programs within multi-disciplinary teams guiding integrations and transformations.

The role partners with C-suite executives and boards, directing client mandates, shaping communication strategies, and driving measurable outcomes while mentoring senior staff. Occasional travel is expected as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 10 years of experience in communications, including leading people-side transformations such as integrations and restructurings.
• Prosci or similar change management certification (preferred).
• Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior client leaders.
• Proven project management skills and ability to manage client relationships.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day client lead, ensuring quality of work and representation in client meetings and sites.
• Develop and lead execution of change management and communication strategies that align with client goals.
• Contribute to business development and expanding engagements through client and referral relationships.
• Participate in practice leadership, mentoring, and developing the bench in People & Transformation.
• Coach junior team members and support SMART goal setting and reviews.
