Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company seeks an experienced VP, Claims Casualty to lead the Excess & Surplus, Specialty, and Commercial Lines claims organization. You will provide executive oversight, drive cost control, excellent claim servicing, and strategic initiatives across domestic and foreign partners.

The role requires broad leadership, deep knowledge of commercial and specialty lines claims, and the ability to influence executives. Remote work within the continental US is eligible.

Qualifications

• 15+ years within claims, 7+ years with Commercial, Excess & Surplus claims
• Graduate degree or CPCU designation is preferred
• Licenses and/or professional designations desirable

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages high level leaders and specialized claim staff for high severity claims including $1m–$25m limits and aggregates up to $100m.
• Develops and executes organizational strategies to meet performance goals in Claims operations.
• Partners with the Chief Claims Officer for strategic planning and guidance for Commercial Lines and Excess & Surplus.
• Communicates and drives claim performance to achieve business results.
