Job summary

The role requires a Master’s in Accounting or a CPA license, 7+ years in senior finance, and strong knowledge of GAAP and GASB.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting or CPA license required.
• Seven+ years of senior-level finance or accounting experience.
• Ability to work with diverse faculty, staff and students.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GASB and higher education finance.
• Experience with automated financial reporting systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees accounting, financial reporting, grant accounting, AP/AR, treasury and internal controls.
• Ensures compliance with system-wide policies and develops standardized accounting policies.
• Prepares year-end financial reports for the CSCU System Office and coordinates with external auditors.
• Maintains chart of accounts and responds to audit requests; manages personnel decisions in the department.
