Job summary

Medhavi Skills University invites applications for a Canteen Operations Executive to oversee daily billing, inventory, vendor coordination and compliance across designated locations. The role requires strong operational discipline and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in commerce or related field, 2–4 years in canteen or hospitality operations, and a proven ability to optimize processes and costs within a busy service environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, Business Administration, Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
  • 2–4 years of experience in canteen, food service, hospitality, retail operations or facility management is preferred.
  • Experience in inventory management, billing, vendor coordination, or operations management will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily billing activities, cash collections, digital payments, and payment reconciliation.
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, and consumption across all canteen locations to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors for timely procurement and delivery of food items, consumables, and other operational supplies.
  • Verify invoices, maintain procurement records, and assist in purchase planning.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports, including sales, inventory, and financial summaries.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of billing records, stock registers, vendor records, and operational reports.
  • Coordinate with hostel authorities, canteen staff, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, food safety guidelines, operational procedures, and reporting standards.
  • Analyse operational data to identify trends, improve efficiency, minimize wastage, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Address operational issues promptly and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
  • Support management with operational planning, budgeting inputs, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform any other administrative or operational duties assigned by the reporting manager.

Role Overview

The Canteen Operations Executive is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of canteen operations across designated locations.
