Job summary

Stanislaus County is seeking a Senior Budget Management Consultant (Manager IV) in the Chief Executive Office to support executive leadership on department priorities. Responsibilities include budgeting, accounting, fiscal management, project management, research and analysis, and preparing reports and presentations for the Board and the public.

The ideal candidate will lead cross‑functional teams, manage multiple assignments, ensure fiscal accountability, and maintain discretion while advancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Four (4) years of progressively responsible management experience in a public agency performing duties involving project management, organizational support, and/or budget/finance duties.
• Additional experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting, accounting, fiscal management, project management, research and analysis, and preparing reports and presentations for departments, Board of Supervisors, and the public.
• Develop and monitor budgets, provide recommendations, and prepare comprehensive reports and briefing materials.
• Collaborate with executives, department heads, and cross-functional teams to align assignments with County priorities.
