Job summary

The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine seeks an Associate Dean of College Operations to oversee facilities, information technology, safety and compliance, and to advance the college's teaching, service, and research missions. The ADCO reports to the Dean and collaborates with senior leaders to align operational priorities with strategic goals.

Qualifications

• A terminal degree or the foreign equivalent with an academic background and appropriate credentials to be a Full Professor in the CVM.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the college's facilities, information technology, and safety and compliance policies to support teaching, service, and research.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the Dean and as a senior administrator bridging academic/clinical missions with university logistics.
• Coordinate with facilities planning, IT and college leadership on space, capital projects, and infrastructure needs.
• Ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations and veterinary accreditation standards (e.g., AVMA COE, USDA, IACUC, EHS).
• Lead risk management, safety programs, and continuity planning for the college.
