Job summary

The University of Georgia seeks an Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs in the College of Veterinary Medicine to provide leadership over undergraduate curricular initiatives, student affairs, and program assessment. The role requires collaboration with the Dean and department heads to advance teaching and learning across the college.

Ideal candidates will have a PhD, at least three years of management experience, and a track record in academic and student affairs.

Qualifications

  • PhD in a field relevant to CVM is required.
  • Three years of management experience.
  • Three years of relevant experience in academic and student affairs.
  • Knowledge of campus policies and systems is preferred.
  • Ability to manage budgets, enrollment, schedules, and facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead undergraduate programs and oversee curriculum development and improvement.
  • Oversee student advising, enrollment management, and student success initiatives.
  • Coordinate assessment, accreditation needs, and timely reporting for the college and university.
  • Collaborate with the Dean, Associate Deans, Department Heads, faculty, and staff to support teaching and active learning experiences.
  • Supervise undergraduate programming and coordination with university scheduling to ensure appropriate instructional space and equipment.
