Job summary

Community-College-of-Vermon seeks a senior administrator to manage and supervise one or more college academic programs, oversee orientation and support for new faculty and trainers, and directly supervise coordinators of teaching and learning and program directors.

The role includes budgeting, grants management, accreditation preparation, curriculum development, and the ongoing assessment of program quality.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate discipline.
• Three to five years of higher education teaching and administrative experience.
• Experience in faculty training and support is highly desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of secondary and higher education systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise one or more college academic program(s).
• Oversee orientation and support programs for new faculty and trainers.
• Directly supervise Coordinators of Teaching and Learning and Program Directors.
• Lend support in supervising and training faculty and other staff members.
• Prepare and manage grants and budgets, write annual reports, and prepare catalog information.
• Develop performance metrics and assess program outcomes.
• Oversee processes that ensure continuous improvement in curriculum and program quality.
• Participate in planning and implementing curriculum for one or more college academic program(s).
• Assist the Dean of Academic Affairs in long-range planning, development, and evaluation of courses, training, academic events, and academic programs.
• Assist in the preparation of accreditation reports and documentation.
• Identify and conduct outreach with external organizations.
• Provide leadership through participation in collegewide and VSCS committees and state and regional professional organizations and groups.
• Keep abreast of current developments in academic programs and educational requirements as well as academic technologies.
