Job summary

Excelon Associates seeks an experienced Associate Dean of Academic Affairs in Orlando, Florida to lead and coordinate academic programs, student support initiatives, and faculty development. The role partners with the Dean to advance strategic goals, ensure accreditation compliance, and cultivate a student-centered learning environment.

Responsibilities include overseeing advising processes, scheduling, faculty effectiveness, and program operations across online, hybrid, and on-campus

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or related field.
• 3+ years of college-level teaching experience, preferably in proprietary or career-focused higher education.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (written, reading and verbal).
• Patience, empathy, adaptability and a solutions-oriented leadership approach.
• Ability to work extended hours including evenings and Saturdays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual student retention, satisfaction, and certification goals.
• Help develop and maintain student support structures, advising, faculty office hours, and communication strategies for student success.
• Coordinate and track student reentry and readmission processes to support monthly goals.
• Assist in achieving daily attendance goals for on-campus programs and engagement in online courses.
• Assist with development/maintenance of student schedules across programs and courses.
• Coordinate timely academic advising for students not meeting progress requirements.
• Ensure courses in online, blended, and on-campus modalities are staffed with qualified faculty.
• Monitor faculty teaching assignments to meet contractual commitments.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of qualified faculty.
• Conduct biweekly meetings with instructors, program coordinators, and program directors.
• Conduct quarterly classroom observations of faculty and leadership personnel.
• Assist with annual faculty development, in-service training, and professional growth activities.
• Support hiring/onboarding of instructors for assigned programs.
• Ensure program operations, personnel, facilities, and curriculum meet regulatory requirements.
• Lead new faculty orientation and training sessions.
• Complete classroom observations and coordinate monthly instructor class assignments.
• Partner with academic leadership to improve instructional quality and student outcomes.
