POSITION DETAILS
The Hunter College School of Education (SOE ) , founded in 1870 as New York City?s first teacher-preparation school, is both rooted in history and focused on the future. Committed to developing reflective, knowledgeable, and highly effective educators, administrators, and counselors, the SOE is one of the largest professional schools within the City University of New York (CUNY). With over 75 full-time faculty members across three departments and more than 100 programs, the SOE serves approximately 3,000 students pursuing education and certification in teaching, counseling, and school administration. The school is also home to CUNY?s first Doctor of Education (EdD) in Instructional Leadership.
The Executive Assistant to the Dean for Administration plays a vital role in the Dean?s Office in ensuring the smooth operation of key administrative functions within the School of Education. Reporting directly to the Dean, along with the CUNY Title overview, responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is: $87,190 - 107,789.

**CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 6.09% with additional increases of 3.25% effective 9/1/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
