The Executive Assistant to the Dean will provide comprehensive, executive and administrative support to the Dean of the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences ( CEMS ). Serve as a primary point of contact and coordination for the Dean by managing a complex calendar; screening, prioritizing, and routing requests. Prepare routine correspondence and materials. Coordinate and set up meetings, including scheduling, room reservations, technology needs, agendas, materials, records, and follow-up tracking. Support Dean’s Office leadership and Dean’s Office initiatives with administrative projects by organizing information, maintaining accurate files, and escalating issues that require leadership attention. Consistently exercise discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive, confidential, and time-critical information and communications.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associate’s degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of software applications used to support administrative operations and familiarity with internet resources and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) required.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records. Effective interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience providing executive-level administrative support in a complex office environment. Experience coordinating sensitive calendars, preparing briefing materials, managing confidential communications, tracking decisions and follow-up items. Familiarity with university processes.
Anticipated Pay Range
Anticipated Pay Range $26.50-$34.00/hr
