The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. (RFMH) invites applications for a full-time Special Assistant to the Assistant Commissioner in Queens, NY.

The role supports the Assistant Commissioner in the Bureau of Health Promotion for Justice-Impacted Populations (HPJIP) and coordinates executive-level activities, travel, and communications. Successful candidates will have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and relevant project coordination experience, plus proficiency with

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a Master’s degree with 1 year of related project coordination/management experience, or a Bachelor's with 2 years of related experience.
• Experience providing executive support to a senior official in government, health care, or large nonprofit organizations, including calendar management and briefing materials.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Assistant Commissioner’s calendar and produce a weekly look ahead.
• Prepare weekly brief of commitments, pending decisions and deadlines for the Division.
• Support leadership meetings with agenda items, notes, decisions, and action items.
• Coordinate travel arrangements for the Assistant Commissioner.
• Serve as bureau contact for the Office of the Executive Deputy Commissioner.
• Receive data calls, briefing requests, and deadlines from the Division.
• Represent the AC to community partners, providers, and the public.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
