The MN Arts Board is looking for their next Executive Assistant to provide administrative support for the executive director, the board, and board committees.

This position is eligible for up to a 50% hybrid telework arrangement. With a telework agreement, onsite attendance will be required for team meetings or as requested by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required. Please review the Telework Policy for details

Minimum Qualifications

  • Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to a variety of customers over the phone, in person and via email.
  • Word processing skills to develop and modify a variety of correspondence, records, and reports.
  • Data entry/database management skills sufficient to accurately enter data, maintain databases, and effectively retrieve information.
  • Knowledge of preparing, editing, and finalizing emails, memos, reports, and/or other documents and types of written communication that are grammatically correct, in proper format, and free of spelling error.
  • Knowledge of scheduling and confirm customers’ appointments in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence.
  • Ability to perform administrative support work for a work unit’s expense and budget administration.
  • Ability to convey complicated information in an understandable manner as a resource for outside agencies, for clients, coworkers, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years professional experience in an administrative support role.
  • Event planning and management experience.
  • Experience in managing contracts in a business or nonprofit organization.
  • Experience with records management.
