Job Description
Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support for company leaders to ensure they can efficiently accomplish key tasks and company initiatives.
- Executive Assistant keeps the executive’s communications organized so that they can easily access the most important information without having to sort through low-priority items.
- Executive Assistants screen all visitors and determine what level of support they need while offering polite, professional customer service.
- They manage the executive’s daily calendar, including scheduling meetings, confirming appointments, writing itineraries and arranging for transportation.
- Executive Assistants also train other administrative staff on company policies and best practices.
- An executive assistant within Valley Health System Corporate offices reports directly into the executive/s with a dotted line into the Director, Office of the CEO and Governance for orientation/onboarding, office coordination, and procedural matters.
Education
- High School Diploma required
- Associate Degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience supporting administration at the executive level required

- Knowledge of administrative services
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations
- Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and other information
- Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to handle difficult situations involving customers, physicians, or others in a professional manner
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple technology systems including document management systems, Microsoft products (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) video conferencing system, etc.
